Designing a home can feel overwhelming at first, especially when there are decisions around budget, approvals, builders and what is realistically possible for your site.
At Williams Building Design, the process is designed to feel collaborative, well guided and manageable from the beginning.
The process starts with a conversation about your site, your goals, your budget and the type of home or project you are hoping to create.
This is an opportunity to discuss ideas, ask questions and better understand what may be possible for your block.
Every site is different. Factors such as orientation, slope, planning controls, access and surrounding context all influence the design direction.
Sarah works closely with clients to develop a practical brief before the concept design begins.
Initial concepts are developed around the way you live, how you want the home to function and what makes practical sense for the site.
This stage focuses on layout, flow, orientation and the overall direction of the project.
Once the concept design is refined, the project moves into design development and preparation of documentation for either DA or CDC approval.
Coordination with consultants and the approval process is managed throughout this stage.
Detailed documentation is prepared to support construction and help the project move smoothly into the building phase.
