About Sarah

Sarah Williams is the founder and director of Williams Building Design, working with homeowners across Wollongong, the Illawarra and Shoalhaven to create practical custom homes, duplexes and knockdown rebuilds designed for real life.

After more than 10 years working with GN Williams Custom Homes, including over five years as Design Manager, Sarah developed a strong understanding of how design decisions affect construction, budget and the overall success of a project.

That experience continues to shape the way she works today — focusing on practical outcomes, clear communication and homes that are both considered and buildable.

Williams Building Design is intentionally a boutique studio. Clients work directly with Sarah throughout the entire process, from the initial discussion through to design development and approvals.

Rather than pushing a particular design style, Sarah focuses on understanding how clients live, what matters most to them and what makes practical sense for their site, budget and long-term goals.

Having also renovated and built homes personally, Sarah understands the importance of creating a process that feels collaborative, manageable and well guided from the beginning.

Based in the Illawarra, Williams Building Design specialises in custom homes, duplexes and knockdown rebuilds across Wollongong, Shellharbour and surrounding areas.
