Background

I am the director and founder of Williams Building Design. I worked with GN Williams Custom Homes for 10 years, and was the Design Manager for over five years. My passion for building and design dates back much further, working part time along side my husband doing accounts in his business (GN Williams Builders) over 20 years ago whilst completing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at Wollongong University. My Commerce degree led me to a career in managing shopping centres for Westfield including working on the developments of both Westfield Figtree and Westfield Miranda. Once having children I decided to embark on a new career and completed my Diploma in Building Design through TAFE NSW.  It was a quote that I still have on my pin board today that inspired me to move into the field of Building Design - "It is a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together." From my 20 plus years of working in the property, design and building industries, as well as building and renovating our own homes along the way, I believe that communication is the key to any successful relationship.  Having designed over $20 million in projects to date, I am extremely passionate about residential building design and see my role as listening, creating and putting the pieces of the puzzle together to bring your dream home or project to life!
